Product Description Pack of 6 (2 purple, 2 white, 2 mint green). These are new, never used Snappis, but may not be in product packaging to save mailing costs plus I recycle the packaging.
The Snappi® is a safer, more reliable, EASY to use fastener for cloth diapers that replaces the nasty diaper pins. The stretchable non-toxic Snappi® hooks into the diaper material to make a strong closure. They work best with diapers that have a loose enough weave for the Snappi® to hook into. (Snappi® terry cloth diapers, cotton pre-folds, and others) Note they do not work well with flannel or other tightly woven diapers.
How to use your Snappi®:
To improve elasticity, stretch your Snappi® fastener a few times before use.
Step 1: Hook left
Step 2: Stretch across and hook right
Step 3: Stretch down and hook center
The Snappi® should go from a "T" shape to a "Y" shape when stretched properly.
Warning: Always use a cover over a Snappi fastener. Keep out of children's reach when not in use. Do not use a Snappi fastener on toddlers that have the ability to undo or take off their cover/diaper/clothes. Do not use your Snappi for longer than 6 months. Not UV resistant - exposure to the sun can reduce the effectiveness of the Snappi.
CAUTION: Any tear in the Snappi can lead to separation of a piece, presenting a possible choking hazard. Inspect the Snappi before each use and discontinue using immediately if there is any sign of cracking, tearing, breakage or wear of the teeth or any other parts. Do not cut a Snappi as this may cause tearing.

These really are great. April 27, 2010 S. Valderas (Shoreline, WA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
These really are great, if you use them correctly. To be fair, it sounds like one of the other reviewers thought this was instead of a diaper cover. It is not. You use these in addition to the diaper cover. These are really useful with a newborn baby who has not started solids. With these, you can still use prefolds for a newborn and not get complete "blow outs" because they help hold it in. I used these with prefolds and either a Thirstie diaper cover (which are also great btw) or a wool soaker at night. Wonderful! Now, as baby gets older, I don't need them as often, but still use them every once in a while. Once baby is on more solids and blow outs are a thing of the past, you can just fold a prefold in thirds, lay it in the diaper cover and close it up. I still do use the snappi sometimes when I'm using a wool soaker for nighttime and our fitted diapers are dirty.
Getting them tight enough can be tricky though. Think of them like the little hook things you get with an Ace bandage. It works the same way. You need to hook it in one side then pull tight across the little belly and grab the other side. As the snappi closes up, the hooks should grab the fabric and make a nice tight fit.
I would say about the only drawback to these little guys is that they have pretty sharp teeth! Watch out for grabby babies' hands - these things can hurt a little.
A must for cloth diapers December 7, 2009 P. Sperli 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I decided to do cloth diapers when my twins came along, and I tried pins. Not only did pins make me uncomfortable, but they are harder to put on, and bulkier. These snappis are wonderful. They pull the diaper together and are quick easy and safe too. They are a great alternative to the diaper pin, and I would definitely suggest them.
No need for anything else August 5, 2010 ARMorris My Mum made me buy diaper pins when my son was born, it was, after all, what she used on us...after nearly taking out my baby's hip about three times with horrible pokes by the pin, I was determined to see if there was another alternative. These are it. They last forever if you take care of them. They are super easy to use. What else is there to say? If you are doing trifolds, there really is nothing else to know. Buy these.
Great idea! August 28, 2010 My3Boyz I have to say I was scared to cloth diaper my oldest son because of the pins. I found these when he was potty training so when I was having another I jumped on the chance to try them. I LOVE THEM. It truly makes cloth diapering a breeze, you don't have to worry about accidentally pinning a squirming infant and you don't have to worry about droopy diaper butt when they wet because you had to hold your fingers under it when you pin. These allow you to get the diapers to fit securely and hold in place no matter what the load into them and what their activity level. Cloth diapering dream!
They are quick but... February 23, 2010 M. Fulkes (Allentown, PA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I could never get it tight enough to where I felt comfortable that the diaper wasn't going to fall off. I like the idea of not using pins but it didn't work for us. Btwn this and the Chinese prefolds holding the moisture against our baby's skin, we switched to an AIO diaper and love it!
